At CSTF, we aim to be relentless in our mission to include people of all communities, cultures, and socioeconomic statuses so that each and every person can enjoy the beauty of live theatrical arts. We believe participating in theater arts is healing, and that it builds life skills that go beyond the stage. From confidence to empathy, team work to leadership, the bonds created on stage bleed into every relationship we have. Theater as a participant and as an audience member are a human right we fight for.
Founding
Jeffrey Hinderscheid is a seasoned creative director, producer, and arts leader with extensive experience in theatre, film, and live event production. Jeff has spent more than 20 years developing, directing, and producing creative works across the West Coast. His expertise includes scenic design, technical direction, youth arts programming, and community centered creative development. With a BA in Drama and an MA in Psychology, Jeff uses the principles of social interaction and human connection through theater arts to bring humanity together for a healthier society. As a certified Drama for Wellbeing Practitioner, and as a Hartnell College Psychology Professor, Jeff works with students of all ages, and provides theater programming throughout all of the underserved south county regions.
In Constant Support
The work of Center Stage Theatrical Productions is needed everywhere, but the bottom line is the people who need it most cannot always afford the programming. We believe working artists should make a livable wage, however, without the generosity of community members, grantors and government funding, the amazing work they can offer sometimes never gets off the ground. The Center Stage Theatrical Foundation was created to be the pipeline to those sources so that all human beings can experience the beauty of theater arts, both as participants and audience members. We believe it is a human right, and the stress of financial constraints should not be the barrier that prevents them from that experience. With that in mind, the goal is simple, advocate, apply, and execute plans that provide the funding required to give people access to theater magic.
